You could almost hear the pop-punk hearts breaking around the world when Hayley Williams and Chad Gilbert announced their separation over the holiday weekend.

“The thought [rejoining] has crossed my mind before, but I don’t think so.

It would be interesting to ever be asked to rejoin the band but I don’t think it would ever happen.” Bassist Jeremy Davis left Paramore in 2015, becoming the sixth band member to leave since they formed.

Davis had been a member of the band since 2005 and played on all four of Paramore’s studio albums.

Paramore’s latest album ‘Paramore’ was released in April 2013.

Williams cast doubt on the immediate future of the pop-punk band last year, stating that she has “no idea what is next” for the group.

Paramore singer Hayley Williams married New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert at a private ceremony in Tennessee on Saturday (February 20).

“We don’t hang out every day but definitely we’ll see each other around and we’re totally cool now,” Farro says.

“We bump into each other and chat like old friends.

Today, they’ve shared a statement on social media announcing that they are separating.
