Mommie Dearest is a 1981 American biographical melodrama film which depicts the childhood of Christina Crawford and how she was allegedly abused as a little girl by her adoptive mother, actress Joan Crawford.
Starring Faye Dunaway, Mara Hobel, and Diana Scarwid, the film was directed by Frank Perry.
All the actors performances are good, but I especially enjoyed Fichtner's redneck sociopath and Mortensen's mysterious French Canadian who may not be the average joe he appears to be.
