However, if your symptoms do not improve with a recommended treatment, we are then able to ’step up’ to a further, more intensive treatment that may be of benefit.
In some cases it is appropriate to start treatment at a higher step, for example, due to the type or severity level of the problem, but this will be determined at assessment.
This service is set up to help those aged 17 and over who are suffering from mild to moderate depression and anxiety disorders including generalised anxiety, social anxiety, post traumatic stress, health anxiety, panic, phobia or obsessive compulsive disorder.
Whilst psychological therapies can be extremely rewarding, they are not for everybody.
They require motivation, willingness to change and the process is not always straight-forward.
